Beyoncè, Brent Faiyaz, Rayvn Lenae New Music Friday

What’s up, my babies? It’s Friday, so you already know what that means. It’s time to give you the tea on the latest music to hit your playlists. This week’s New Music Friday roundup has a little bit of everything, from songs to soundtrack the last few moments of summer to new releases that’ll carry us right into fall. We’ve got new music from Beyoncé, Brent Faiyaz, and Ravyn Lenae, so let’s get into what you need to have in rotation this weekend.

MORNING DEW (DONK) REMIX PACK - Beyoncè & JayZ (Single)

Last month around this time, Beyoncé made the world stop when she released the full version of "Morning Dew," and now she’s blessed us with a remix featuring her better half, Jay-Z. While it's not necessarily a personal favorite of mine, if this is a signal that ACT III is on the way, we’ll take it.

Pretty Brown - Loe Shimmy (Single)

Loe Shimmy hit "A COLORS SHOW" for an exclusive performance of his latest single, "Pretty Brown." It’s very Loe coded, giving us those slow, sensual, sexy vibes the ladies love. Definitely one to add to the GRWM playlist.

Put Up - VEDO & Lady London (Single)

Y'all have been saying that "yearning" Is what's been missing in R&B; well, Vedo and Lady London are putting it down on their new track "Put Up." It caters to the very thing that many women want right now: to be taken care of. Now be grateful and give it a spin.

FYU - 5an & Ye Ali (Single)

Just when I started to miss Ye Ali... he appeared. FYU is something I’d play on a late-night drive through the city or while posted up at the beach, especially the slowed version. Fellas, pick her up for date night with this playing and give her another reason to keep you on her mind. Trust me, she’ll be reaching out asking, “What was that song you were playing in the car?”

Proud - Jaymin (Single)

Now, this one didn’t come out today, but it deserves some recognition, and gatekeeping good music just isn’t what we do. Back to our regularly scheduled conversation about yearning, Jaymin is another artist who is literally the epitome of it. Just like the chorus says, “ain’t too proud to beg.”

All Eyes On Shiest - Pooh Shiesty (Album)

It’s beyond unfortunate to see the hashtag “Free Pooh Shiesty” trending again, but the plan to take over the rap game is still in motion. All Eyes On Shiest has 16 tracks with features from BIG30, Sexyy Red, Baby Slime, K Carbon, and GloRilla. The question is whether this project will be impactful enough to keep his name and momentum alive through another bid. I guess we’ll have to wait and see.

Icon (Director's Cut) - Brent Faiyaz (Album)

After about 10 false drops, Brent has finally delivered his highly anticipated third album, Icon (Director’s Cut). All of you toxic R&B lovers have officially been served your fix with 15 tracks, including 5 bonus songs, just in time for fall to roll in. And guess what? No features!

Blue Island - Rayvn Lenae (Album)

Ravyn Lenae is everyone’s favorite hidden treasure, but it’s time for the world to see her light shine. I’m hoping Blue Island is the project that wakes the mainstream music world up to the pure artistry she brings to the table. It looks like she has Doechii and Dominic Fike joining her on the Island, and we’re ready to see where she takes us.

II Caos Parte 1 - Victor Victor Presents (Album)

Victor Victor Presents came through with a surprise drop, releasing his new EP Il Caos Parte 1 (The Chaos Part 1). The first installment of his four-part series gives us a mix of his love for Italian motorsport and music, with Lil Baby, King Beamo, Rylo Rodriguez, Lil Dann, Ade, and Don Joseph joining him on the project.

Weathering The World - Hurricane Wisdom (Album)

Hurricane is back with Weathering The World, the follow-up to his Billboard 200-charting projects Perfect Storm and Perfect Storm: Sorry 4 The Rain. The project brings together some of his biggest releases from this year, including “Barbie Doll” with Chance The Rapper and “YK Where It’s Goin” featuring Gunna.
